Project Manager Role

Brave Strong Beautiful is the first Social Enterprise Hairdressing Company and Training Academy in
Scotland. We provide High Quality Hairdressing services with a focus on a delivering social impact through
our employability, leadership programmes, and mental health services. We are very excited to announce
the expansion of our Organisation to Aberdeen and we are looking for people to fill various roles such as
Project Manager, Salon Manager, Stylists, graduate Stylist and Apprentice stylists, for our new city centre
salon. Brave Strong Beautiful collaborates with youth organisations and high schools and creates an
environment where all young people can develop creativity, confidence and access to training in
hairdressing alongside our commercial activities of delivering quality Hairdressing services.

Description
We are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to be involved in the growth and leadership of our
Organisation. We are looking for someone who is a creative thinker, someone who is compassionate and
caring and has a good understanding of young people and current issues faced. You will be involved in the
management of the social impact and administrative duties in line with this and communicate efficiently
with our school partnerships and training Academy. You will work closely with the Salon Directors and
Salon Manager and be involved in decision making, you will share our values and ethos of providing a
quality service in a compassionate, understanding and caring way. Our ideal candidate is kind and
organised, confident and creative and have a passion for working with young people, and be interested in

Responsibilities

• To communicate and liase with schools and youth organisations
• To help with developing training packages
• To be a supportive listener and advise young people
• Hold goal setting meetings with young people
• Be involved in the story telling of our organisation
• Co-ordinate diarys
• Be supportive of change and new ideas
• To track our social impact and use Microsoft office and excel and create spreadheets
• To be involved in writing funding applications
• To be involved in updating policies

Skills required

• Good verbal and written communication skills and a high level of interpersonal skills
• Willingness to continued professional development
• A good knowledge of MS Office 365 and Excel
• Caring manner and understanding of our ethos
• Knowledge and understanding of current and new trends
• Good organisational skills and time management
• Confidence to talk in groups and be involved in decision making
• Previous project management experience is desirable but not essential
• Friendly and approachable
