Graduate Stylist
Flexible working hours position 16 – 40hrs available
Brave Strong Beautiful is the first Social Enterprise Hairdressing Company and Training Academy in
Scotland. We provide High Quality Hairdressing services with a focus on a delivering social impact through
our employability, leadership programmes, and mental health services. We are very excited to announce
the expansion of our Organisation to Aberdeen and we are looking for people to fill various roles such as
Salon Manager, Admin and project Manager, Stylists, graduate Stylist and Apprentice stylists, for our new
city centre salon. Brave Strong Beautiful collaborates with youth organisations and high schools and
creates an environment where all young people can develop creativity, confidence and access to training in
hairdressing alongside our commercial activities of delivering quality and professional Hairdressing and
colouring services.
Description
We are currently looking for a talented and friendly newly graduate Stylist to be involved in the growth of
our Organisation. We are looking for someone who is a creative hairdresser, someone who is friendly and
caring and has good people skills. You will be involved in the daily running of the salon and building of
clientele, you will participate in ongoing professional training sessions. You will work closely with the Salon
manager and Project Manager, you will share our values and ethos of delivering quality customer service
in a compassionate, understanding and caring way. Our ideal candidate is kind and organised, confident
and creative and have a passion for all things hairdressing, and be interested in creating social impact and
change. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a Hairdressing organisation with a drive to make a
difference with excellent professional development opportunities. Flexible working hours to be discussed
at interview. !6 to 40hrs available and hourly rates dependant on age.
Responsibilities
- To build and retain a clientele
- Creative and understand colour
- To be a role model for apprentices
- Be involved in the story telling of our organisation
- Meet sales targets
- Be supportive of change and new ideas
- Be organised and maintain client data, records and stock ordering
- Take pictures of your work for Instagram and other social media
Skills required
- Level 2 SVQ or equivalent qualification in hairdressing
- Willingness to continued professional development
- Good communication skills
- Caring manner and understanding of our ethos
- Knowledge and understanding of current and new trends
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Creative
